When Alexander Lozben stepped on stage at W Dubai – The Palm to receive the Fintech Leader of the Year award at the Entrepreneur Middle East Leadership Awards 2025, the recognition was the result of years spent building the less visible part of fintech: infrastructure.

An IT entrepreneur, fintech expert and early architect of crypto infrastructure in Europe and the CIS, Lozben is the founder of INTERHASH, a company that offers a full range of mining services and develops next-generation digital infrastructure. From its base in Dubai, INTERHASH operates across sustainable mining, Web3, blockchain analytics, AI+Blockchain, robotics and digital identity, with projects covering MENA, Europe and Central Asia.
Under Lozben’s leadership, INTERHASH has grown into one of the global leaders in mining services. At the peak of the cryptocurrency market, more than 50% of all Bitcoin mined in the Russian Federation came from INTERHASH clients. The company’s connected capacity accounts for up to 7% of the entire Bitcoin network, placing it among the most influential players in the sector.
The company’s long-term strategy goes beyond capacity figures. INTERHASH focuses on international expansion, energy optimisation, process automation, transparency and advanced analytics. This approach is designed to support a new generation of digital infrastructure that can sustain fintech growth at scale.
Lozben’s work is not limited to corporate operations. He collaborates with digital tech parks and government entities in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, contributing to regulatory frameworks for digital assets, sustainable mining models, Web3-based governance and fintech platforms. This combination of hands-on infrastructure building and policy engagement is one of the reasons he stood out to the awards committee.

For Lozben, the Middle East — and particularly Dubai — has become a strategic base for this work. As he puts it:
“Dubai today is not a geography — it is a platform. What is being built here are not companies, but ecosystems of the future.”
He also emphasises the necessity of anticipating market shifts:
“The world is changing faster than ever. It’s not enough to keep up — you must stay one step ahead.”
By integrating energy efficiency, automation and data-driven decision-making into INTERHASH’s operations, Lozben is helping define what the infrastructure behind modern fintech should look like. His Fintech Leader of the Year award reflects both his personal contribution and the growing role of mining and digital infrastructure in the global financial technology ecosystem.
