Dubai has marked a new milestone in higher education with the inauguration of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad’s (IIMA) first-ever international campus. The prestigious institution opened its doors at Dubai International Academic City, part of TECOM Group PJSC, in a ceremony led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The launch signifies a major step in expanding academic collaborations between India and the UAE, while cementing Dubai’s position as a global hub for world-class education.
At the heart of the Dubai campus is IIMA’s one-year full-time MBA programme, designed for mid-career professionals seeking advanced leadership training and international exposure. In addition, new centres of excellence will be established to drive innovation, research, and knowledge-sharing across key sectors, further strengthening academic and industry partnerships in the region.
IIMA’s arrival in Dubai is expected to attract a diverse pool of talent, offering opportunities for students across the Middle East and beyond to benefit from the institute’s globally acclaimed teaching and research standards.
The initiative not only expands IIMA’s global footprint but also reflects Dubai’s commitment to fostering international academic excellence and preparing the next generation of leaders for an interconnected world.
