Tahaluf’s B2B events fuel record growth in business tourism as Vision 2030 cements the Kingdom’s global leadership in hosting and investment
Saudi Arabia’s transformation under Vision 2030 is redefining the global events landscape, with the Kingdom’s business tourism sector surpassing the scale and economic impact of some of the world’s largest sporting spectacles.
Speaking at the Saudi Business and Investment Summit 2025, Mike Champion, CEO of Tahaluf, revealed that the company’s B2B events have generated an astonishing $17.6 billion impact, a figure that eclipses the estimated economic boost delivered by the FIFA World Cup.
Champion noted that this milestone is not just a testament to Saudi Arabia’s rapid growth but also a signal of the Kingdom’s rising prominence as a premier destination for global business gatherings.
“Saudi Arabia has firmly positioned itself as a hub for world-class business events, driving opportunities for investment, innovation, and collaboration across sectors,” he said.
The surge in the events industry is directly tied to Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s ambitious roadmap for economic diversification, which has accelerated investment in tourism, infrastructure, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
The growth of B2B exhibitions and conferences—particularly those hosted by Tahaluf—has drawn international leaders, investors, and innovators to Riyadh, Jeddah, and other emerging business hubs. With events spanning technology, energy, finance, and culture, the sector is not only delivering record revenues but also cementing Saudi Arabia’s role as a global convening power.
Industry analysts suggest that the $17.6bn impact represents only the beginning, with projections pointing to even greater returns as the Kingdom continues to expand its business events calendar. For Saudi Arabia, this success underscores its broader strategy: positioning the country at the intersection of global commerce and culture.
