New platform streamlines permit applications across transport, private property, and public spaces
Dubai: Businesses and advertising agencies seeking outdoor advertising opportunities in Dubai now have a single destination to manage their permit applications. Mada Media, the newly established entity tasked with regulating Dubai’s out-of-home (OOH) advertising sector, has officially launched its online platform, madamedia.com.
This platform eliminates the previous need for applicants to switch between multiple systems, bringing together permits related to the city’s public transport network, commercial vehicles, private land and buildings, and right-of-way spaces.
Formed under Decree No. 20 of 2024 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Mada Media operates under a concession agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Municipality.
“The launch of the unified electronic platform is an important step in achieving the company’s goals,” said Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, CEO of Mada Media.
Through the new platform, Mada Media will develop and regulate Dubai’s OOH advertising sector. It will ensure all advertisements comply with the city’s technical, regulatory, and aesthetic standards while introducing new and innovative digital spaces to elevate the city’s advertising landscape.
Additionally, the platform unifies the terms and conditions for applications and ensures strict implementation of Dubai’s out-of-home advertising manual. Advertising companies and institutions can now submit their permit requests directly through the site, streamlining the entire approval process.
“This step comes in line with plans to standardize processes for advertising permit applications,” the company stated, emphasizing that this initiative supports Dubai’s broader vision of fostering innovation and operational excellence across all sectors.
