A New Chapter in the UAE: Khabib Nurmagomedov and Farukh Kurbanov Build a Strategic Alliance

In the UAE’s fast-evolving real estate landscape, partnerships are often measured not only by scale, but by vision. That is the frame in which DIA Holding has announced its new long-term strategic partnership with Khabib Nurmagomedov, the undefeated UFC champion whose name has come to represent discipline, resilience, and credibility far beyond sport.

The first result of this alliance will be LuzOra Residences, a premium development in Dubai Islands — a project that signals not just a business collaboration, but a broader convergence of values.

For Farukh Kurbanov, founder of DIA Holding, the decision is deeply connected to leadership philosophy. In his view, development is not simply about delivering square meters, but about completing something meaningful — on time, in full, and at the right standard.

“For me, every completed project is a victory. We deliver every development on time and in full, and that requires tremendous willpower and discipline. In this, we are very similar to Khabib. He is an undefeated champion, and his approach has proven effective both in professional sport and in business. These are the qualities of a true leader, and this is exactly the kind of partner I have always wanted to see in DIA Holding,”

Kurbanov said.

Khabib Nurmagomedov framed the partnership in similarly grounded terms, emphasizing not image, but responsibility.

“Whether you step into a fight or prepare a major project, success is defined by the people you work with. Farukh, his team, and I share similar values and the same outlook on life. For him, just like for me, it is important not simply to make a loud statement, but to do the job in a way you can be proud of. We both understand that to build means to create a space where people will live and where new generations will grow. That is a great responsibility,”

Nurmagomedov said.

Their first joint development, LuzOra Residences, is already under construction. Conceived as a premium boutique Residence & Hotel project, it will comprise 108 apartments and will rise near the waterfront in the emerging Dubai Islands district. Positioned for both short-term rental and long-term living, the project reflects a hospitality-infused residential model increasingly attractive to modern buyers and investors.

Residents will have access to a curated infrastructure that includes a poolfitness center, and EV charging stations, while the beach will be just 10 minutes away by golf cart. A nearby planned school introduces an additional family-oriented dimension, strengthening the project’s appeal beyond temporary stays. Completion is scheduled for Q2 2027.

What distinguishes this collaboration is that Khabib’s role is not limited to ambassadorial visibility. He is expected to take part in the conceptual development of future DIA Holding projects, particularly in areas related to sports and social infrastructure. In that sense, the partnership is not merely promotional — it is participatory.

DIA Holding says this first project is only the beginning. The broader goal is to create developments across the UAE where sport, family, and quality of life are translated into architectural and planning decisions.

As an international construction management holding, DIA Holding focuses on residential, commercial, and social real estate. Its portfolio already includes more than 25 projects with a combined area of over 783,000 square meters. With the UAE now established as a strategic priority, the company is clearly positioning itself for long-term growth in one of the world’s most competitive development markets.
